As you probably know (from this, and this and this,) we are rather partial to tasteful paper and pens here at Jackie Magpie. So as you can imagine, I was especially happy to hear from this funky little stationery company that goes by the name of Noodoll. With a wide array of products, both strange and functional, Noodoll is made up of colourful, character-based goodies with an innocent charm. The London based brand was created in 2008 by Chinese designer and author YiYing Wang whilst studying for her masters in Communication Design at Central St Martins. As well as inventing these cool characters, YiYing has written several successful books including the bizarrely-named chinese best-seller, Me in my bag! The brand has since branched out to collaborate with other awesome illustrators including Jackie Magpie fave Donna Wilson, Harriet Russell and the hilarious pug-lover, Gemma Correll, whose playful styles deliciously compliment the existing characters. What’s not to like?
